Hi, I’m Jasmin.

Jasmin, against a wall in Haji Lane, Singapore
Nearly nine years after I started designing amateur, self-indulgent webpages on free hosted webspace using only Netscape Composer and Microsoft Paint, I am still interested in designing websites, less interested in self-indulgence and definitely more interested in the growth of the internet as a way of sharing creative endeavours and opinions. You may know me from intherain.org or sootcolumns.org.
I’m no longer thirteen going on fourteen (am actually turning twenty-three very soon) and idealistic — strange how the years and certain core-shaking events can ground a person so firmly to earth. I’m trying to turn ideas into practical, liveable solutions for myself as I explore the realm of professional/commercial photography with a part-time stint as a retoucher/photographic assistant and full-time study in my final undergraduate year in the Arts.
Having adopted Sydney as my current home, I love this coastal city but loathe the bogan accent. Thankfully am paired up with a gorgeous boy whose voice and wonderfully neutral accent grabbed my heartstrings from the start.
I am a jumble of interests in anything and everything; this spills over in my web life, where I muse about university life, going to the beach, the romanticism of pen exchanges, family and sometimes, the grief of losing a father.

This website was made on a black 13″ 2.0GHz MacBook. It is hosted by MediaTemple, registered with Netrillium and powered by WordPress and its nifty plugins. Best viewed with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and above, with standard compliant browsers like Safari, Firefox and Camino.
I use a Canon 350D and Minolta X300 (analogue film SLR) for most photos. Lubitel TLR photos coming soon.
I love finding new WordPress plugins and these are currently activated:
